The biggest threat to Europe’s future is losing its economic sovereignty and being increasingly influenced by foreign powers, pointed out MEP Márton Gyöngyösi (Non-attached) from Hungary in his speech at the plenary session of the European Parliament.
According to the politician Asian countries, especially China are dominating technologies that are crucial for the European economy. Yet, the EU has not find its response to the growing challenge and is still ignoring the problem, underlined the Hungarian MEP.
To make matters worse, some EU countries, such as Hungary, are actually playing the role of the Trojan horse of China, undermining the EU’s future, warned Gyöngyösi, who called on Europe to protect itself.
