Mid-Autumn Festival marks 76th anniversary of China–Hungary ties in Budapest

In the golden season of September, the 2025 Fully Plaza Mid-Autumn Festival & National Day Celebration, together with the commemoration of the 76th anniversary of China-Hungary diplomatic relations, was held in grand style. The event attracted guests from various sectors of both China and Hungary, overseas Chinese communities, and local residents, all joining together to witness this important moment of cultural exchange and people-to-people bonds.

As one of the four major traditional festivals in China, the Mid-Autumn Festival has long carried the cultural connotations of family reunion and affection. Wherever they are, Chinese people celebrate this day with longing for home and wishes for togetherness. The event not only highlighted the significance of the Mid-Autumn Festival but also brought the essence of Chinese culture to Hungary, sharing the festive warmth with local communities.

The venue was filled with joy and festivity. Performers from both China and Hungary presented a variety of programs, from traditional dances to modern music, showcasing the blending and dialogue of the two cultures. Guests were also treated to authentic Chinese delicacies, as well as exquisite intangible cultural heritage displays such as classical hand fans and traditional jewelry, offering a vivid taste of Oriental aesthetics.
