National team members continue to impress while abroad

The press release of MLSZ said that our international players playing their trade abroad continue to show good form as we tick down to just 100 days until the start of the 2016 European Championships in France. Krisztián Németh and Tamás Priskin both scored while Hungary captain Balázs Dzsudzsák claimed an assist for his club side.

Slovakia’s spring season began last weekend with a top-of-the-table clash between leaders Trencin and second-placed Slovan Bratislava, the spoils going to the latter as they reduced Trencin’s advantage to four points at the table’s summit, partly thanks to Hungary striker Tamás Priskin who scored Slovan’s second goal in the 2-0 win, his powerful left-footed shot finding the net in the 41st minute.

Meanwhile, one of his striking partners for the national team, Krisztián Németh, is in the middle of a hot streak of form with his new Qatari club Al Garafe, and scored his fifth goal in only four games since joining them from the USA’s Sporting Kansas City in January. This time he scored from the penalty spot and also gave an assist as his team drew 4-4 with Umm Salal. Over in Turkey Bursaspor won 1-0 at home against Eskisehirspor, the crucial goal coming courtesy of Balázs Dzsudzsák’s superb pass through to Batalla who converted to claim all three points.

According to MLSZ, Poland is home to several of Bernd Storck’s national-team squad these days with Nemanja Nikolic at the forefront of this group – he played the full 90 minutes as his team Legia Warsaw leapt to the top of the Ekstrakalsa league table with a 2-0 victory over Ruch Chorzow. Elsewhere, Tamás Kádár played the full game and Gergő Lovrencsics came on as a 78th-minute substitute as their team Lech Poznan lost at home to Jagiellonia and Wisla Krakow’s poor run continued, a 2-1 home defeat inflicted without the help of Richárd Guzmics who was suspended.
