New bridges over River Danube and Tisza – VIDEO, PHOTO
Regarding the River Tisza, the construction of the new bridge is scheduled to commence in 2025. However, in the case of the Danube, the new overpass is nearly complete near Mohács.
According to Magyar ÉpÃtÅ‘k, the contractor for the Danube project is Duna Aszfalt, and the two bridge sections, starting from both riversides, are almost joined. On the Kalocsa side, the road is nearly done. Thus, you can catch a glimpse of the future bridge’s appearance from this vantage point. As per the plans, the overpass will be 750 metres in length and should be ready by 2026. This overpass will provide a connection between Highway 51 and the M6 motorway. It will not only facilitate the lives of local residents but also serve as a vital element in the national road network. The new bridge will also offer a crossing point for freight traffic from neighbouring countries to the south and south-east.
