New coronavirus function of Google Maps arrives this week to Hungary

Google will soon make its newest function available in 220 countries, including Hungary. It will provide information about how many new infections have been registered in every state in the world in one week.

HVG reported that Google has been installing and introducing new methods and skills related to the still ongoing coronavirus epidemic. The algorithm of maps has been changed and developed to be more specific and accurate showing the traffic of certain towns, cities, and other areas. Another major improvement is that restaurants and bars on Google Maps will show whether they deliver food to our homes or not.

This week, another new function will be introduced in 220 countries, including Hungary as well.

Google will provide data about how many new infections have been registered in one country in one week. This function will be useful for those who, despite the epidemic, must travel regularly. The function will use and represent the data of John Hopkins University and the WHO. The new function arrives this week to Android devices, iPhones, and iPads.
