Unexpected: New Hungarian airline may start operating soon, here is its name!

A new Hungarian cargo airline may commence operations shortly. The emerging airline has already set up an official Facebook page for recruiting staff across various positions. Here is its name and the first member of its fleet.

According to Budflyer, a Hungarian aviation news platform, rumours surrounding the emergence of a new Hungarian airline, Hungary Cargo Airlines, appear to hold truth.

The Orbán cabinet will probably transfer the operations of the state-owned Airbus A330F cargo plane, slated to be the first member of the new airline’s fleet. Hungary Cargo Airlines has already set up an official Facebook page, which you can reach by clicking HERE.

Recruitment drive for the new Hungarian airline

Despite having merely 72 likes and 90 followers, the new airline has already started recruiting staff. They seek maintenance personnel, security managers, HR personnel, operators and pilots for Airbus A330 aircraft.

Interestingly, the airline’s description features Chinese characters, indicating its likely oriental affiliation as suggested by Budflyers. Additionally, as per its description, the company is registered in the Buda Castle District (1st district).

Chinese lineage behind the new Hungarian airline

Based on the OPTEN database, Hungary Cargo Airlines Ltd was registered in 2021. Formerly known as Universal Translink Airline Hungary Ltd, its headquarters are situated in the Cargo City in Vecsés. UTA is a company specialising in air cargo transportation with roots tracing back to China.

The state-owned Airbus A330F has been maintaining the air cargo link between China and Hungary, including transporting COVID-19 vaccines. Presently, it operates multiple weekly flights between Budapest and Hangzhou. Hangzhou, situated between Shanghai and Ningbo, boasts a population of almost 12 million inhabitants.
