New Hungarian invention: thermal bath in your own home!

A Hungarian startup company came up with a new invention. This would allow the thermal waters found inside the country to be used more efficiently, widely, and more often. It would make it possible to have a thermal bath in your very own bathtub.

The thermal waters and baths of Hungary are famous world-wide. However, they can be hard to reach and extremely expensive. This would be remedied by the new innovative product which can make a concentrate of the therapeutic water. After putting this in your own bathwater, it would give a similar experience as the original, including colour, smell, and health effects, writes Világgazdaság.

Thermal bath at home

The research behind the invention was led by balneologist Csaba Varga. With his discovery, he can make an essence of 3000x density. If we put it into bathtub filled with hot water, it makes it into a thermal bath. Aqua Koncentrátum Kft purchased the patent for the invention and is the one representing it. The company is currently negotiating with several municipal governments, as in most cases, thermal baths are their properties.

“For the municipal government it is a beneficial thing, if name of their settlement is well-known, and if they can make money out of it. Almost all baths in Hungary operate at a loss, it would be good to change that,”

said Zsolt Szebeni, the corporation’s manager.

So far, they made an essence out of the water of four wells, found in Debrecen, Hajdúszoboszló, Szigetvár and Kakasszék respectively. The invention’s purpose is to gather the healing ingredients from water with a high concentrate of organic materials. They confirmed the medicinal effect of the concentrate in hospital settings through medical blind tests.
