New pop-up park in Budapest
On Friday 17 May, the Hungarian capital’s newest community space, the City Hall Pop-up Park (Városháza Pop-up Park), will open its doors.
The City Hall Courtyard, which until recently was a car park, has been completely renovated. It is awaiting visitors with permanent catering facilities, periodic and thematic programmes, workshops, concerts and, during the European Football Championship, a joint cheering section throughout the summer, Travelo reports.
The opening weekend will include a dance performance, stand-up, a literary programme and a workshop, while on Saturday 18 May, the City Hall Pop-up Park will pay tribute to DJ Palotai with a huge party, reads the Budapest City Hall Facebook event.
