Opening sky bars on terraces is becoming a trend in Budapest, and many hotels are joining the movement.
Portfolio reported that the newest sky bar has opened to visitors at the top of the Marriott Hotel. The Liz and Chain Sky Lounge is part of the bar on the hotel’s ground floor offering not only drinks and food but also a wonderful view of the city. In the last few years, sky bars have become more popular in major cities all across the world.
The new trend has affected Budapest’s central parts positively as more and more hotels decide to open these exclusive places.
Nosalty writes that from Liz and Chain Sky Lounge visitors can admire the beautiful view of Budapest, including the Danube, the Buda Castle, the Chain Bridge, Gellért Hill, and St. Stephen’s Basilica. Liz and Chain offers a relaxing and exciting experience for those who would like to relax after a long day at work, hang out with some friends, or just admire Budapest. From Wednesday to Sunday, holding private events is also an option at the lounge.
From appetisers to cocktails and gin tonics, Liz and Chain offers a wide variety of foods and drinks, including traditional Hungarian meals.

After opening the Beefbar in the capital, gastro-mogul Hlatky-Schlichter Hubert decided to create another place for the lovers of food and drink, but this time, up in the sky. Leo Bar started its test operation last year, and since then, it has expanded with a kitchen and is scheduled to get its final form next year at Hotel Clark. Soon, catering and hotel services will provide supplies for this sky bar, but it has already been flooded with the country’s prominent people, as well as Hollywood superstars.
