Hungarian man stole a millions from railway ticket machines
The police officers from Monor have managed to detain the perpetrator, who was a man from Sződ. He has been stealing the money from the railway ticket machines of the Hungarian railway company, MÁV.
The company has been reporting several missing sums of money from their machine since this year’s February from Zugló, Biatorbágy, Monor, Vecsés, Vecsés-Kertekalja, Pilis, Üllő, Monorierdő, Ecser, Agárd and Kelenföld stations. Like a hard-working squirrel he has been amassing a large sum of money from a total of 16 machines.
Eventually the police officers from Monor have caught the 23-year-old perpetrator thanks to the close collaboration with MÁV and the man, who worked for the company as a technician was right in the middle of stealing HUF 207,000 (€ 575).

He immediately admitted everything and the investigators have found a total of HUF 4,913,800 or roughly € 13,650. Being responsible for maintenance, he used his job to hide the fact that he was stealing from the machines. The Criminal Department of the Monor Police Headquarters will continue further proceedings against the perpetrator.
