The Hungarian history is definitely a rich and complicated one, full of ups and dows. When it comes to the World Wars, many claim that Hungary was always on the “bad side”. 1. Start with a Communist revolution, followed by very poor diplomacy with other European Powers (other than Germany and Italy), Hungary fielded and army in WWII that was poorly armed, poorly equipped, poorly trained and poorly led. End result is a disaster, loss of population and territory, just like in WWI.
