M4 dual carriageway’s 62 km Pest County section completed
A 62km section of the M4 dual carriageway worth 100 billion forints (EUR 288m) has been completed in Pest County with the inauguration of a new stretch on Thursday.
The new, 17.6km stretch linking Cegléd with Abony, worth 26 billion forints, was inaugurated in a ceremony by Innovation and Technology Minister László Palkovics.

M4 is to link the M0 ring road bypassing Budapest in the south-east with the Romanian border.
A 27km section between Abony and Törökszentmiklós is expected to be completed by spring 2022 and a 32km stretch linking Berettyóújfalu with the border town of Nagykereki is scheduled to be inaugurated this summer.
A long, 95 km section to link Törökszentmiklós with Berettyóújfalu will be built later on, the project is in the phase of obtaining a construction permit.
