Tragedy! 19-year-old Dutch fell off the Szabadság bridge – he could not be saved – UPDATED
A 19-year-old Dutch citizen fell into the Danube from the Szabadság bridge in Budapest on Friday dawn.
According to 444.hu, the police is still investigating the circumstances of the tragedy. The man fell off the bridge at 5.35 am, and he suffered too severe injuries, so he could not be saved. Allegedly, he wanted to take a photo, that is why he climbed on the bridge.
UPDATE
Despite previous press reports, the 19-year-old man was not Hungarian but a Dutch tourist who wanted to take a photo, so he climbed on the bridge – blikk.hu reported.
