- Will the government finally buy Budapest Airport? A consortium led by the Hungarian government made a more generous offer to purchase Budapest Airport this time. UPDATE.
- Péter Márki-Zay of the Everyone’s Hungary Movement (Mindenki Magyarországa Mozgalom, MMM) won the opposition’s primary election with 371,560 votes (56.71 percent). His opponent, Klára Dobrev of the Democratic Coalition (DK), garnered 283,677 votes, or 43.29 percent. Details HERE.

- Ukraine’s “communication campaign of provocative lies” about Hungary’s energy acquisitions has ended in a “disgraceful failure” since the European Union made it clear that Hungary’s long-term gas purchase deal with Russia is fully in line with the law, Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó said today.
