Rose Stone, Badacsony
The legend of the Badacsony Rose Stone (Rózsakő) is linked to Hungarian poet Sándor Kisfaludy. It is said that if the members of a couple sit on the stone, they will get married in the same year. The story goes that the Hungarian poet and his wife Róza liked to sit on the flat basalt stone.
Heart of Balaton Square statue, Zamárdi
The statue on the Heart of Balaton Square in Zamárdi is also a favourite of many lovers. If you look through the opening of the heart-shaped statue, you can admire the magnificent panorama of the Benedictine Abbey of Tihany.
Love locks in Berhida
If you are heading for the Bakony Mountains, you can also take love locks to Berhida. Here, too, a love gate welcomes couples near the Kistó playground. Once you’ve put up the lock, it’s worth sending the key to the bottom of the lake with a well-aimed throw, as is the local custom.
