Orbán government fills the labour market with thousands of Asian workers, despite propaganda

It is nothing new that the Orbán government is actively trying to turn Hungary into one of the world’s biggest battery powers. Bigger and bigger battery manufacturing investments keep coming to Hungary. But who will fill these vacant positions under such dangerous circumstances? Mostly guest workers from third-world countries.
There has been a trend for some years now that it is no longer possible to find domestic labour for the lowest-paid jobs. Just as Hungarians migrate to the West to do the jobs that Western Europeans don’t want, workers from even poorer countries are now coming to Hungary to do jobs that no one wants in Hungary. In reality, working in battery factories is hardly attractive to Hungarian workers. According to research cited by Andrea Éltető, senior research fellow at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, to Qubit, since the covid pandemic, people are less willing to accept poor quality or unsafe jobs.
Where do guest workers come from?
The government first allowed guest workers from Ukraine and Serbia to come to Hungary in 2016. In 2022, it made it easier to recruit guest workers from a further 9 countries: the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Mongolia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Northern Macedonia and Montenegro. This summer, it made it easier to recruit from 8 more countries, including Brazil, Colombia and Russia.
According to Ákos Jáhny, Managing Director of Get Work Trend Ltd., “it is the result of a lot of research in foreign and domestic affairs” why these countries were chosen. “A wide variety of ethnic groups and nationalities have been examined culturally and religiously, and in terms of attitudes to work.” In many ways, the Philippines is the most ideal. “Even if it is difficult to say, we also had to take into account that we had to choose countries where the Hungarian wage level is still attractive,” Jáhny added.
“These jobs are soul-sucking; there is a high probability that anyone who can do it will quit at the first opportunity,” said Andrea Éltető. “Battery factory work is characterised by a high degree of automation on the one hand, and monotony on the other, so pushing buttons or doing the same few movements for 12 hours in three shifts. For this reason, these jobs are very unattractive to European and domestic workers.”
Guest workers have all the motivation to work
“On the production line, [the guest workers] are rational, they are more organised, they see the problems, and they have no motivation to lie sick alone in a workers’ shelter. They would rather go to the factory and work. It follows that they are seen as more efficient. But they are just as human, they are fallible, they can be sick and often they are cold, even in 20 Celsius degrees,” Jáhny said.
Hungarians continue to permit allow this destructive policy BUILD, the destructiveness it is having, that will grow and grow, in the immediate and short term and future in Hungary.
I detest the word usage application of it Cheap Labour, but massively it is happening in Hungary and supported encouraged by Orban and his Government.
Hungary we are paying the price now and into the short, medium and long term future of Hungary, it will be a cataclysmic disaster.
Observation – noticeable, if you “dial up” for a house delivery of food, the nationality of the deliverers ?
Secondly;
Waiting for a call, to get on there bikes, exampled above Oktogon Metro, they have a “combined” waiting spot, noticed the nationalities ?
Orban and his Government, of greater importance the citizens of Hungary, is it RIGHT this Policy ?
My opinion, we will PAY sooner than later HORRENDOUSLY for its Wrongfulness that “Sells” us Hungarians – Hungary OUT.
Maybe you should open your eyes- it’s more a question of Christian vis non Christian.especially Muslim . Maybe your unaware what’s going on in much of Europe fo sometime and it not getting any better. This has been going on since long before you were born. Maybe you missed the million that turned out in london in support of a ugly attack on Israel.
Well, let’s not forget about the danger of the ghettos our Politicians love to bang on about. And mostly male workers. Putting Hungarian people at risk!
Somebody missing the irony, here?
Its another, but we know factually, this has been going on “under the counter” a practice of the Orban Government but intensified muchly, post the end of Covid – the Pandemic, that “strangulated” us as a country Hungary.
This destructive wrongful policy being practiced, it causing a deepening black hole – “nail in the coffin” to Hungary, in present time, the near future and into the distant future.
The design of the Orban Government, that just is a blatant insult, a “slap in the face” an embarrassment “forced” on the people of Hungary.
Wow sooner than later, what a COCKTAIL of nationalities will be the composition of our population, not forgetting in the 14 plus years Orban has been in POWER, the population of Hungary, has decreased alarmingly.
So Orbán gets international battery companies into the country, while it is certain you need third world “guest workers”.
So if you want to keep Hungary Hungarian, like Orbán and friends claim, this is the last thing you should do. Building a huge industry on third world migrants.
It is a mind-blowing many Hungarians still believe these lairs.

I must admit I did not imagine such a precisely defined classification. I was still sticking to the old categories according to which third world countries were the “non-aligned” and/or economically developing ones. Greetings.
As an Indian I really don’t like this third world concept. It smells of superiority complex. Yes India is not a rich country but no way every Indian is poor. There are people in millions may be 10 times the population of Hungary who are millionaires. Yes an average Indian is not as rich as an average Hungarian but it gives no right to anyone to call us third world
