Orbán meets Visegrad Four foreign ministers
Viktor Orbán, Hungary’s prime minister, met foreign ministers of the Visegrad Group in Parliament on Monday, the PM’s spokesman told MTI.
The V4 ministers plus representatives of Austria, Croatia and Slovenia were in Budapest to discuss current affairs with Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s foreign minister.
The main topic of the meeting was the European Union expansion, with all officials agreeing on the integration of the western Balkans as a top priority, Bertalan Havasi said.
By speeding up integration of western Balkan countries it would be possible to prevent serious security challenges, but for this to happen it would be necessary to change the prevailing politics that can be currently felt in Brussels and certain EU member states, the ministers agreed. Another dominant subject of the meeting was ways to prevent the reopening of the western Balkan migrant route, the spokesman added.
