Parliament committee head urges closer ties with Mexico
Budapest, May 27 (MTI) – The dialogue between Hungary and Mexico should be made more intensive in the future, Zsolt Nemeth, the head of Parliament’s foreign affairs committee, told MTI on Wednesday.
Nemeth spoke following talks with Gabriela Cuevas Barron, his Mexican counterpart, in Budapest and pointed to the importance of cooperation between foreign affairs committees of the two countries.
Hungary will offer scholarships to 40 Mexican youths to study at Hungarian colleges and universities, Nemeth said, and added that the move could “open a new chapter” in bilateral cultural ties.
The talks also touched upon the situation in Ukraine, the Middle East, and North Africa, Nemeth said.
