Péter Magyar demands PM Orbán’s immediate return to Hungary from his Adriatic holiday
TISZA party leader, Péter Magyar, expresses anger towards PM Orbán not being in the country when the people need him. He calls on the prime minister to break off his holiday in the Adriatic and order his ministers home from luxury yachts.
What is happening at Dunaferr?
As Portfolio reports, workers at the Dunaújváros Ironworks (Dunaferr) staged a protest this morning over delayed salaries, gathering outside the management building at 7 AM. Liberty Steel Dunaújváros head, Rahul Yenurkar, assured that payments would be made later in the day, though the possibility of instalments has sparked dissatisfaction.
The demonstration concluded peacefully after an hour and a half, but workers have agreed to protest again if payments are not made by 2 PM. This protest follows recent management decisions to reorganise working hours, signalling a downsizing of steel production, which has already impacted the workforce.

Péter Magyar reacted to the situation in a Facebook post and called on the Hungarian Prime Minister. He wrote:
The government has bailed out the Dunaújváros Ironworks by not paying the workers on time. Meanwhile, it also became clear that the government was lying when it promised three weeks ago to resolve the heat crisis in hospitals. Now that another heatwave is here, temperatures in wards and operating theatres are once again above 30 degrees Celsius in many places, seriously endangering the recovery and ultimately the lives of Hungarian patients.
The TISZA Party calls on the Prime Minister to interrupt his holiday in the Adriatic, order his ministers home from luxury yachts and take immediate action to resolve the above and replace the incompetent leaders immediately.
The question arises as to why Viktor Orbán is on holiday on a luxury island in the Adriatic at a time of ‘war’?!

What’s going on in hospitals with inadequate air-conditioning in this heat is unimaginable. It’s catastrophic for patients and staff. The government needs to take emergency action and this has been going on all summer long. Fidesz politicians just don’t care. Go ahead and vote for them again in 2026 if you want more of this.

The heat wave in Hungary is terrible but it is not the norm. Peter, you are wrong as usual to ask the government to invest billions into air conditioning when this heat wave may not happen again for centuries. If you had an ounce of brain, you would have asked for a study first. P.M. has every right to enjoy his holidays. What do you think he can do; he is not qualified as an air-conditioning installer. Sapskull Peter, how do you know that the wonderful P.M. is not already working on a solution.
It would be much better for you to seek mental help so that you will not mentally and physically abuse your next spouce.

The accumulating debt OWED to the European Union, the daily interest charges building are humongous.

The entire abysmal state of the Hungarian Economy, just adds to the Insult, the humiliation being played out inflicted on – the citizens of Hungary by the Prime Minister – Victor Mihaly. Orban and his Fidesz Government.
Hungary we are in CHAOS, a time of Economic & Financial “melt down” that is WORSENING.
If what Peter Magyar is reported to have said in regards to this CRISIS is correct, and I have no reason to doubt his words, this should DEEPEN the growing annoyance right throughout Hungary of this Orban – Fidesz Governments, the derelictions of there duties as a Government in SERVING – representing, the citizens of Hungary.
Appalling, an ABOMINATION.
WHAT percentage of Hungarians are not in a Financial position to afford a Holiday ?
Answer – in excess of 1.5 million.
What number of Hungarians, the figure grows, are living in Poverty ?
Answer : in excess of 3 million.
What’s getting Cheaper in Hungary ?
Answer : Nothing.
In the course of 15 years in Government, the Orban – Fidesz Government – what have they GIVEN – Delivered to Hungary ?

Eh excuse me Maria expat outside of Hungary. We have these heat waves every summer now. I personally stayed in the hospital here in August of 2021 and the heat was so bad I had a friend bring me a fan and still slept in sweat. Also, there is no food in the hospitals either. For breakfast you get a slice of bread and a bit of chicken paste or honey. The same for lunch and dinner. The bathroom was filled with mold, and I was in the infection ward. You should just shut up because you do not live here and do not endure these conditions. As usual, you shoot off your mouth with no knowledge.

Gov’t should not interfere in a private company having some internal issues with their pay system to appease employees. If the problem is on going, employees will bail and find other work…which in the longrun will fix the problem by forcing the hand of owners.
Hospitals have their own budgets and management who are paid to run the business of healthcare within it. Right now, shorter shifts for staff and outdoor (in screen tents) time for mobile patients can alleviate some of the issue. Installed fans to move air is often a good idea for the temporary problem. People who work in extreme heat in large commercial kitches often wrap towels around their midriff or tucked down their back by folding over the collar to absorbe sweat. Did that in longterm care facilities where staff were way overheated while elderly and infirm were whining about being cold constantly.
The last thing most people want is more government oversight and interferance in thier lives. If bailouts are always accepted, that open the door to the gov’t forcing sanctions against the general public to get from it what is desired from the governments’ viewpoint.

“Vesuvius” is NEAR that the FALL of Orban and his Fidesz Government, what in ALL probability is going to occur in Hungary prior to the next National Elections – may be reminiscent of the treatment resulting in death, to “other” European Leaders post 1944 in Europe.
Could be a situation, that this following description of a “another” – European Prime Minister initially, before he went from being a Prime Minister establishing “other” titles he “bestowed” upon himself, but who “meet his match” through driving his country into Rack & Ruin – as we KNOW – the present Prime Minister of Hungary – Victor Mihaly. Orban factually is undertaking on Hungary.
Citizens took it upon them-selves – to rid of – to CLEANES them-selves, there country, of the individual, his Government, his Political Ideas and Philosophy, his Dogma and Ideology, that like Victor Mihaly. Orban undertakes on Hungary, to ERADICATE, remove him from POWER.

Yes, it was for the individual I liken to Victor Mihaly. Orban – there is a “staggering” likeness of there CHARACTER that ended one life and the “other” by people power – that WILL bring about the RIGHTFUL “closure” – the END, of his Political Life.

Maria, you clearly don’t live in Hungary and cannot be a regular visitor if you think the current heatwave is a once in a century event. It’s becoming standard every summer, perhaps this year is slightly above average, but it’s staggering in a country as hot as Hungary EVERY summer that air conditioning is not widespread in Hungarian hospitals. Even public buses in Hungary are largely now all air conditioned for without it travelling anywhere during 4 months of the year would be completely intolerable. If bus passengers deserve AC don’t you think the sick deserve the same privilege? Even in more temperate countries public hospitals are air conditioned; it helps with infection control as AC systems can be fitted with HEPA filters that serve to control cross infection between wards. It should be basic and expected.

Londonsteve, you are right, I do not live in Hungary, do you. I checked the net and according to Bing, not all European hospitals are air conditioned. Furthermore, France’s climate nazis ensured that not even the Olympic village was air conditions, thereby giving an advantage to athletes from warm climates. There are some remarks on the net that people are actually punished for overuse of air conditioners.
I am sure that if Hungarian hospitals would if they could install air conditioning, the Dictatorial Brussels would fine Hungary for overuse of energy.
We are in August, soon the warm weather will end. I can see the same critics that now complain about the heat complain about the cold. Hungarian government cannot win.
…really, it would be good to convince Peter that abuse of women is unacceptable.

Maria, I live in Hungary. And I hope I never have cause to visit a public hospital, if I did have to, I’d probably return to my home country for treatment, if I was in a position to do so.
I’m not surprised to read that you don’t live in Hungary. So many full throated Fidesz supporters seem to live abroad and don’t experience the reality of life in this country while declaring their undying love for this regime. Before you ask, yes, I’m planning to leave and I cannot be the only one.
