Through Hungarian Eyes: exciting photo exhibition opened in Budapest
A photo competition dubbed Through Hungarian Eyes goes to show how national cohesion can be expressed through images, the state secretary of policies for Hungarian communities abroad said at an award ceremony held in the garden of the Hungarian National Museum on Thursday.
The competition attracted 1,500 submissions from countries including Australia, Japan, the United Arab Emirates and various areas throughout the Carpathian Basin, Árpád János Potápi noted.
Regardless of from where the images have been sent, and despite the great variety of subjects, it is clear from the material that the photographers are Hungarian, he added.
