PHOTO: Hungarian magician cuts off finger on stage
On Sunday, the last day of 2023, world record-breaking magician and illusionist Lui told his followers on Facebook that he had an accident on stage during his performance on Saturday: he accidentally cut off his own finger.
In the post, Lui describes how, after cutting off half of his finger, he made it through the show despite bleeding. He adds that he hopes he “managed to cover the injury without the audience noticing”.
According to Index, at the end of the show, the bleeding was stopped and the magician was taken to hospital, where his finger was successfully reattached. Lui expressed his special thanks to the doctor on duty at the Bács-Kiskun County Teaching Hospital for his quick care.
The post also revealed that the magician did not cancel his New Year’s Eve performances despite the accident.
I grew up on Rambo films, so I’ll do it till the last drop of my blood,
Lui wrote in his Facebook post.
