On April 17, 2023, a youth forum dedicated to the celebration of the legacy of Heydar Aliyev – the national leader of Azerbaijan took place in Budapest, Eötvös Cultural center. The forum was organized by the Embassy of Azerbaijan to Hungary and Youth Foundation of the Republic of Azerbaijan with support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
The event brought together representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, Representation Office of the Organization of Turkic States, diplomatic corps, including Ambassadors of Turkiye, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Moldova, members of local scientific, cultural and media institutions, as well as Azerbaijani diaspora and Azerbaijani students studying in Budapest.
Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Hungary Tahir Taghizade talked about the role of Heydar Aliyev in establishment of modern Azerbaijan and its socio-economic development. It was mentioned that the strategy founded by the National Leader has led to strengthening of the international image of Azerbaijan, as well as its strategic partnership with Hungary.
Speeches were delivered by the Executive Director of the Youth Foundation of Azerbaijan, Farid Jafarov, Member of the Parliament of Azerbaijan, Javanshir Feyziyev, Turkologist, Maria Kenessey, Executive Director of the Azerbaijani Student and Alumni Platform, Rafael Hajibeyli, President of the Association for Youth Integration and Development, Ramil Shukurov.
J. Feyziyev presented his book “Turkic World” to the audience which has been translated into Hungarian by Maria Kenessey. A short documentary dedicated to H. Aliyev was demonstrated.
