Charming and cozy Buda Castle hotel reopened – PHOTOS, VIDEO
The Carlton Hotel Buda Castle has been accepting guests since 23 August, and their reservation rate exceeds 80%. The 4-star hotel has been renewed in the heart of Budapest. The hotel closed in 2020 due to the pandemic and reopened only this summer, offering more experience than ever.
“Carlton Hotel Buda Castle offers a peaceful and inviting environment in the heart of Budapest, reflecting a calm and reliable atmosphere. Located on a quiet street, yet close to the city centre and the historic Castle Hill, it ensures tranquillity and comfort for its guests”, the hotel writes on its website. They also highlight that their rooms offer breathtaking views of the city’s landmarks, creating a unique and friendly atmosphere.
Zoltán Kőrössy, one of the owners of the new hotel operator Eventrend, said the hotel underwent a renovation that lasted some months.
Krisztina Sárvári, the hotel’s manager, said she aims to provide a comfortable place to stay and a premium breakfast for their guests. Furthermore, they would like to organise programmes, give advice and provide information. She said they have lots of walk-in tourists. Daily, they may rent 5-7 rooms, turizmus.com wrote.
Interestingly, a Swiss investor built the original hotel in the 1980s on a parcel he bought. It opened in 1990 as the Alfa Hotel. In the 2000s, an Austrian investor bought it, but the hotel had to be closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After closing in 2020, the hotel reopened only this summer.
Concerning the hotel’s concept, they highlighted they would like to provide a “more than 4-star” breakfast experience. “Our breakfast selection includes vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free, and gluten-free options, ensuring a rich and varied start to your morning. For those setting out early to explore the city, we offer breakfast to-go packages, allowing guests to enjoy a nutritious meal on the move. Whether you prefer a light continental breakfast or a hearty American feast, our diverse menu is designed to energise you and make your stay even more enjoyable”, they wrote on their website.
