Putin trying to interfere in Hungarian elections? Russian president boosting PM Orbán

Russian president Vladimir Putin sharply criticised the West once again at this year’s Valdai International Discussion Club meeting held in Sochi, while openly supporting Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orbán. In his speech at the event, Putin said that “nationally oriented political forces are increasingly gaining ground in Europe,” placing Hungary under Orbán’s leadership among them.
Addressing next year’s Hungarian elections, the Russian president stated that although he does not follow Hungarian domestic politics, he believes “the majority of Hungarians want to remain Hungarian and will therefore support Orbán,” according to 444.hu. He added that if someone is Hungarian but supports someone else, “then they will have Ursula von der Leyen,” referring to the President of the European Commission.
Putin attacked NATO and Europe, praised Trump

In his speech, Putin called NATO a “paper tiger” and, like Donald Trump, emphasised the alliance’s weakness. He also declared that if the United States supplies Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine, Russia would view it as another “dangerous escalation,” which would further worsen relations between the two countries.
The Russian president said they are closely monitoring Europe’s “increasing militarisation,” particularly Germany’s rearmament plans. He claimed no one doubts that “Russia’s steps will not be long in coming,” although he did not specify any countermeasures.
At the forum, Putin also praised Donald Trump, spoke about his good relationship with him, and welcomed the American president’s peace efforts regarding the conflict in Ukraine. However, he emphasised that Western arms deliveries do not significantly affect the progress of the Russian army.
Playing on European divisions
Putin mocked Europe’s weakness in his speech and blamed the European elite’s “hysterical Russophobia” for prolonging the war. He claimed Western leaders artificially fuel fear of Russia while serving their own political interests.
Regarding the drone incidents in Denmark, he rejected NATO’s accusations that Russia was behind them, instead blaming the West’s “tension-raising” strategy for the increasing military expenditures.
In contrast, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky responded by saying the drone provocations across Europe are “clear evidence that Russia continues to seek escalation of tensions,” during the European leaders’ summit in Copenhagen. Zelensky said Moscow’s goal from the start has been to divide Europe and weaken the West.

GROOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAN…
We’ve been hearing for daces that Jews (and Israel) control the banks, the governments, the media… – you name it. You couldn’t stub your toe going to the bathroom at night without the Mossad being behind it.
Now it seems Russia attained superhuman powers, too. Everything and your bicycle getting a flat tire has Putin’s fingerprints aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall over it.
If you believe that, you’re really beyond help.
Meanwhile, we know with 100% certainty that foreign entities (not just Soros but also U.S.A.I.D., E.U.’s agencies, etc.) have been funding Hungarian “opposition” for years. Various politicians, elected and unelected (esp. at E.U. level), have been sounding off against Mr. Orban and Fidesz.
All that, somehow, is a-okay.
Gotcha.
Anyone who fails to remember what the Russians did to Hungary during 46 years of occupation is completely delusional. Putin and his cronies are the same murdering henchmen. Remember Viktor Orban’s own words from 2007 “Oil may come from the East but freedom always comes from the West”. Now has Fidesz turned traitor sold out your freedom to the East? All of their actions indicate the answer is YES.
