Spring return date in Hungary revealed: brace for frosts until then

We wrote yesterday that on the National Day of Hungary, 15 March, some parts of Hungary were covered by snow. The thickness of the solid precipitation reached 6cm in the Westernmost peaks. This unusually chilly weather will remain in the following days. However, meteorologists revealed when spring might return to Hungary.
Cold weather arrives
According to Időkép, morning and evening frosts will return to Hungary in the next few days, but we will have less precipitation. On Monday, a dry, cold air mass will arrive from the North, reducing the proliferation of clouds. From Tuesday, there will be a lot of sunshine but the mornings and evenings will be immensely cold.
On 18 March, the morning will be frosty everywhere in Hungary, while the temperature will not rise above 5-9 degrees. Thanks to the strong winds, the heat sensation will be even lower.

Spring will return next week
On Wednesday and Thursday, the sun will shine beautifully, but night frosts will remain. The temperature will be only -7 and -8 degrees in the wind-protected, frosty landscapes in Northern Hungary. The good news is that Thursday afternoon will be warmer; the thermometers will show 10-15 degrees. Warm spring may return in the last days of next week, ending morning frosts.
