Sugar Daddy ads to be removed from Budapest bus stops
The inscription “Find the perfect Sugar Daddy!” is on an ad depicting a model in a lot of quite provocative makeup that was displayed at stops in Budapest. The street advertisement of Milliomosok.hu has already been seen by hundreds of thousands.
According to the article of magyarnarancs.hu, journalist Rita Antoni, president of the Association for Women, also discovered the ad and was outraged by the openness of material-based sugar relationships, and she turned to the capital’s leadership.
Seeing an outrageous poster was the last straw. City management did not want the vision of young people to be malformed.
Sensually open-lipped model proclaims at bus stops in Budapest: “Find the perfect Sugar Partner!” The street advertisement of Milliomosok.hu has had a group of outraged women attacking it, finally getting results.
Deputy Mayor Gy. Németh Erzsébet reacted almost immediately: she promised to remove the posters. She also confirmed this to the paper, saying
“We intend to remove all posters. Hungary also needs to catch up with the ranks of countries that take clear and decisive action against the various sugar daddy dating companies.”
As she put it, they also have a legal basis for this because the 2008 Advertising Act prohibits advertisements that are “harmful to the physical, mental, emotional, or moral development of children and adolescents”.
The actual removal of the posters has not yet begun; this may be preceded by longer correspondence between the capital, the competent clerk, the owner of the advertising space, and the advertiser.
Renátó Bándli, the managing director of Millimosok.hu, told the paper that if their before-mentioned posters were removed, they would of course take the appropriate legal steps.
Several competing companies advertised in a particular dating segment, so why wasn’t theirs taken down? It is only an online dating site where people can get to know each other,
he said.
He added that they could have more than 40 such sites in Budapest, including billboards.
