Sziget Tickets Selling With Record Speed
Szigetfestival.com said, all Siesta Camping tickets have been sold for this year’s Sziget Festival, which means that the upgraded campsites of the event are sold-out. Normal festival passes with camping possibilities are still available, but these are also selling with record speed and already passed the 80% marker. Those who are planning to visit the Island of Freedom in August, but still haven’t bought their tickets, definitely need to hurry up.
More than 80% of the Sziget festival passes have been sold, meaning that this year’s event is on course to attract a record number of audience. There’s even a strong chance that for the first time in the history of this giant event, festival passes will actually become sold-out.
„We’ve already sold more passes than last year all together, although there are still 6 weeks left till Sziget” – said Karoly Gerendai, Sziget’s main organizer. „We think this comes from multiple reasons, partly from all the new visual developments we introduced recently and of course also due to the strong line-up we managed to book this year. We were slightly scared to move the festival a week later compared to the last few years, but now it’s clear that it was a good decision. If we keep up the current speed of ticket sales it’s easily possible that passes will sell out this year” – Gerendai added.
The other important news is that all the upgraded international campsites are full for this year’s event. These include the VIP, the Alternativa, the Apéro and the newly introduced Siesta camping as well. Of course normal camping spots – available for all Weekly Pass holders – are still available.
Also the Sziget Home wooden houses and pre-settled caravans are sold-out, but if you’re looking for a special accommodation on site, you can still find some rooms at the Flexotel facility. If you’re travelling with a caravan or a camper, you can buy your ticket for the Caravan Camping, while the Family Camping (designed for families arriving with little kids) and the special camping for guests with disabilities are also still available.
