Circle Jerks coming to Hungary
Making its debut appearance, the iconic American band called Circle Jerks is set to take the stage in Hungary. Having reunited once again in 2022, the band will unleash their raw energy at the Dürer Kert Great Hall on 29 May, promising to captivate audiences with their timeless album, Group Sex, now celebrating its 40th anniversary. Formed in 1979 in the vibrant music scene of Los Angeles, this hardcore punk sensation was born from the creative minds of Keith Morris, the founding vocalist of Black Flag, and Greg Heston, renowned guitarist from Redd Kross and later, Bad Religion.
Spearheading the first wave of hardcore punk, Circle Jerks made their mark with the groundbreaking release of Group Sex in 1980, followed by the influential album Wild in the Streets in 1982. Despite several hiatuses, their 2019 reunion announcement, slated for 2022, reignited their fervour, leading to a consistent touring schedule. Joining the original lineup founders are guitarist Zander Schloss and drummer Joey Castillo, acclaimed for his work with Queens of the Stone Age and Eagles of Death Metal.
