From tactical duels to mind games, these rivalries have shaped the narrative of the English game and even had an impact on the football odds.
Without further ado, let’s delve into some of the top managerial clashes that have defined the Premier League era.
Sir Alex Ferguson vs Arsene Wenger
One of the most iconic and enduring rivalries in Premier League history was the battle between Sir Alex Ferguson of Manchester United and Arsene Wenger of Arsenal.
Lasting over a decade, the two managers clashed in numerous high-stakes encounters — creating an intense rivalry that transcended the touchline.
Their contrasting styles and philosophies added spice to the contests, making matches between Manchester United and Arsenal must-watch events during the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Jose Mourinho vs Arsene Wenger
Jose Mourinho’s arrival at Chelsea in 2004 brought forth another captivating managerial rivalry, this time with Wenger.
The ‘Special One’ and the ‘Professor’ engaged in heated exchanges both on and off the pitch.
Memorable moments include Mourinho’s jibe at Wenger being a “specialist in failure” and the infamous touchline spat during a league encounter in 2014.
This rivalry added an extra layer of drama to the London derby between the Blues and the Gunners, with both managers pushing their teams to excel in the Premier League winner odds.
Jurgen Klopp vs Pep Guardiola
In recent years, the rivalry between Jurgen Klopp of Liverpool and Pep Guardiola of Manchester City has dominated the Premier League landscape.
The two charismatic and highly successful managers have pushed each other to new heights, creating enthralling title races that have seen Man City win the league by a single point on two occasions.
Their tactical acumen, passion on the sidelines, and mutual respect have elevated the standard of football in the league, making clashes between Liverpool and Manchester City key fixtures in the calendar.
Sir Alex Ferguson vs Jose Mourinho
Sir Alex Ferguson’s managerial career overlapped with several prominent figures, and another of the most intriguing rivalries emerged against Jose Mourinho.
The battles between Ferguson’s Manchester United and Mourinho’s Chelsea showcased the old guard against the new.
The mind games, touchline theatrics, and competitive spirit between these two managerial giants left an indelible mark on the Premier League.

But the Premier League’s top managerial rivalries have not only defined an era but have also contributed to the league’s global appeal.
From Ferguson vs. Wenger to Klopp vs. Guardiola, these clashes have given fans moments of joy, heartbreak and unforgettable drama.

British PM receives drawing by Szekler girl for Christmas
British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and other politicians in the British Parliament received a postcard made from the drawing of the daughter of a Szekler couple living in England, as a Christmas greeting card, Székelyhon reported.
Szekler girl’s drawing on postcards in British Parliament
According to Székelyhon, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and other politicians received a postcard made by the daughter of a Szekler couple living in England, as a Christmas card in the British Parliament. The seven-year-old girl won first prize in a drawing competition organised by Lucy Frazer, Member of the British Parliament, to find the best drawing to decorate her Christmas card this year.
As the news portal writes, Csaba Babos from Kézdivásárhely and Enikő Babos from Csíkszereda have been living in England for thirteen years. Their daughter and son were born in England. According to the mother, they do their best to teach them the Hungarian language, to make them know that they are Hungarians and, above all, that they are Szeklers.
The Christmas Card Competition by Lucy Frazer
For the ninth year running, Lucy Frazer, MP for Cambridgeshire South East and a member of the Conservative Party, has launched the Christmas Card Competition in the county, inviting designs from children aged 4-11. The winner of this year’s drawing competition is Hanga Babos.
We’re so proud of her, and the school, and the headmistress of the school, are so proud of her, it’s indescribable,
the mother said, adding that they were present when Lucy Frazer went to the school to award Hanga. She added that they were also proud that the postcard from Lucy Frazer to the British Prime Minister and many other politicians in Parliament was drawn by their daughter.
An all-around talented little girl
“Hanga loves to draw, not a day goes by that she doesn’t draw. She first outlined the winning drawing with pencil, then used watercolour, glued the bicycle on separately, and finally decorated the whole creation with glitter powder,” Enikő Babos explained. This is not the first time their daughter has shown her talent: she already knew the Szekler anthem at the age of two, and a short video of her singing it had circulated the web.
The little girl also loves snow. According to her mother, it might be because it is “in her blood”, as she herself also loves snow: her best experiences as a child were sledging and hiking on the Harghita Mountains. As she said, they are thinking of returning home.
You can check out the drawing and Rishi Sunak holding the postcard HERE!

Irish boy overdosed because of a Hungarian pharmacist
An Irish boy was hospitalised because of a medication error when a pharmacist of Hungarian origin gave his mother ten times the dose of antibiotics prescribed by his doctor.
According to the Irish Mirror, a four-year-old Irish boy was hospitalised overnight after being given ten times the dose of antibiotics prescribed by his doctor.
After the incident, the child’s mother sued the pharmacy from which she bought the antibiotic. The Irish Pharmaceutical Society subsequently launched an investigation into the case.
Investigations revealed that the overdose was the result of an error by a pharmacist of Hungarian origin. Andrea Pálfi did not write the dosage instructions on the product or warn the mother verbally that the antibiotic she was dispensing was ten times the prescribed dose.
Following the incident, Andrea Pálfi admitted that she had made a mistake and apologised to those involved. The pharmaceutical company said that it accepts the apology, and since Andrea Pálfi had never made a mistake in her job before the incident, she will not be banned from her work as a pharmacist, index.hu reports.

Financial Times: Corvinus University of Budapest is among the best in Europe
The Financial Times has ranked European best business schools again this year, with Corvinus University of Budapest being the only Hungarian entrant.
To showcase the quality of European business education, the Financial Times compiles an annual list of the top 90 European business schools, in which Corvinus University of Budapest is regularly included.
This year, Corvinus was the only Hungarian institution to be ranked 89th in the illustrious ranking. Only one university each from Austria, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovenia from the Central European region was included in the ranking, with French, British, and German schools making up almost half of the total.
The French HEC Paris, the British London Business School and the Spanish-American-German IESE Business School are at the top of the list.
“Corvinus’ good ranking in the European top list shows that our programmes are outstanding, not only in the domestic field but also internationally. This is important professional feedback that Corvinus is a good place to study, teach, and research. Our achievement in the ranking gives us further impetus to continue our efforts to renew and internationalise our educational offer,”
said Lajos Szabó, acting rector of Corvinus.
The rankings were compiled from the Financial Times’ MBA, Executive MBA, and Masters in Management lists, taking into account non-degree executive courses as well. The list measures career progression, salary levels, diversity of faculty and students by gender and nationality, and climate change education. The data was provided by schools and their alumni.
As we wrote a few weeks earlier, Hungarian university’s programmes among the world’s best, details HERE.

Dominik Szoboszlai: can he lead Liverpool to the Premier League title?
Ever since his £60 million arrival, Dominik Szoboszlai has taken the Premier League by storm.
Through the first eleven games of the 2023/2024 Premier League season, Szoboszlai has already found the back of the net and laid on two assists. A driving force behind Liverpool’s positive early domestic and European season form, those stats merely paint the briefest of pictures as to how good Szoboszlai has been since donning the famous Liverpool strip.
Breathing new life into an aging Liverpool midfield, the Hungarian superstar has certainly impressed new manager Jurgen Klopp, with the German calling his new signing ‘a beast.’
Seemingly perfect for Klopp’s fast and frenetic counter-pressing style, Szoboszlai has already become one of the most important cogs in the Liverpool machine, seamlessly connecting the defence to the attack and wowing fans with his skill, endless energy and shooting abilities.
So what can Szoboszlai and Liverpool achieve this year – could they win the Premier League? Here are our key talking points.
Szoboszlai needs to continue to adapt to the Premier League
There’s a reason why the Premier League is the hardest league in the world. Not only can a handful of teams win the league, but there really are no easy matches.
What makes winning the Premier League even harder is the schedule and Szoboszlai is about to experience his first winter in English football.
November and December are often considered critical months in the English football calendar. With games played almost every three days, many new signings to the Premier League have struggled during this period and have dropped off in the second half of the season.
A guaranteed starter for Liverpool, Szoboszlai currently ranks eighth in the league when it comes to the total distance run.
Due to his intense running style and desire to win the ball back for his team, the impact of lots of games over a short period of time will hurt Szoboszlai more than most.
Already so important for Liverpool, if the Reds are going to be serious title contenders they can’t run the risk of their new midfield dynamo running out of gas.
European commitments
One area that could greatly impact Szoboszlai’s abilities to impact Premier League games is Liverpool’s European campaign.
Last season was a disaster for Liverpool, who despite having a squad more than capable of qualifying for the Champions League, missed out altogether and had to settle for a place in this season’s Europa League.
Positioned by most online sportsbooks as the favourites for Europa League victory, no team has ever competed in Europe’s second tier competition and gone onto win the Premier League.
With so many matches played across a gruelling schedule of Thursdays and Sunday’s, often it is the Premier League form that suffers as Liverpool will have to play teams who have had the luxury of rest.
With a deep and talented squad, Liverpool will have serious hopes of a deep run both domestically and in Europe, but Klopp will have to cleverly manage his squad if they are to do so. Although Szoboszlai will want to play every game, his minutes will need to be managed if he is to help Liverpool win some silverware during his first season.
The Manchester City Machine
In Manchester City, not only will Szoboszlai face the best team in England, but arguably the entire world.
City are red hot favourites to recapture both their Premier League and Champions League titles and ominously for the rest of their competition, they are already one point clear at the top of the Premier League and have already qualified from their Champions League group.
However, over the last five years, the only side to consistently cause City problems has been Klopp’s Liverpool side.
Before a ball was kicked this season, many pundits and fans believed that Liverpool were the team likely to push City in this year’s title race and that theory has largely been proved correct.
Sitting just three points behind their rivals, Liverpool and Szoboszlai will be delighted as to how their season has started.
However, as City have proved time and time again, they are simply a winning machine. If Liverpool are to seriously challenge they can ill afford any further slip ups over the busy festive period, as once City hit the front they will be hard to stop.
Hungarian granny gave birth to her grandchild in London
A touching story from the British capital: a Hungarian couple could not have kids, so the granny gave birth to their child.
Childlessness can harm certain couples’ relationships, but there are ways to help. One is artificial insemination. The other is adoption, although neither of these is easy in Hungary. However, a Hungarian couple living in London decided otherwise: they turned to one of the grannies.
According to atv.hu, they tried artificial insemination before, but it was not successful. Their last hope to have a child was to find a gestational carrier, a woman who carries and delivers a child for a couple or individual. A gestational carrier can only be the relative of the father or the genetic mother and cannot accept money for the process. Meanwhile, a surrogate mother can be anybody and can receive payment for carrying and giving birth to the child.
They could not find a Hungarian doctor
The Hungarian couple asked the woman’s mother for help, who immediately agreed. The 60-year-old future grandmother accepted to carry and give birth to her grandchild.
However, they found no doctor in Hungary to help them in the process. Hungarian medics said there might be too many complications because of the age of the grandmother.
Therefore, the family travelled to the United Kingdom, where the wonder happened. The grandmother can make the biggest dream of the happy couple come true.
After Brexit: more than 180,000 Hungarians would like to live in Great Britain
Based on the latest data from the British Interior Ministry concerning the number of foreigners asking for a residency permit, more than 180,000 Hungarians want to remain in the country. The number of foreign applications reaches 7.5 million.
According to the British ministry, 181,490 Hungarian nationals asked for a permanent residency permit by 30 September. Romanians are on the top of the list, with more than 1.6 million. Poles are the second with more than 1.22 million, 24.hu wrote.

Wizz Air returns to Moldova: London, Rome, Milan flights resumed
Flights to London, Rome and Milan will resume from Chisinau, Moldova from 14 December. These flights were previously cancelled due to security concerns over the Russian-Ukrainian war.
The Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air terminated some flights from Chisinau, Moldova, citing security concerns back in March. As aviationweek.com reports, the safety of passengers and crew remained Wizz’s “No. 1 priority”, which is why it decided to cancel flights due to the war in the region.
Now, the carrier has announced that it would resume flights between London Luton Airport (LTN) and Chisinau International Airport (KIV), Moldova, simpleflying.com reports.
The airline will operate flights between London and Chisinau on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Ticket prices start from EUR 22.3 for the 2,180-kilometre journey.
At the same time, Wizz Air also stated that it would connect the Moldovan capital with Milan (Malpensa Airport) and Rome (Fiumicino International Airport). Both flights will operate twice a week, and the flights to the two Italian cities also start on 14 December, 2023. Two weekly services will be offered from Milan and Rome.
According to the Wizz statement, “it should be noted that these cities of strategic importance will offer passengers the opportunity to create convenient connections through other intermediate points as well.”
The return of the Hungarian low-cost airline to Moldova was welcomed by Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Recean. According to him, Wizz Air’s return was a result of the government’s “constant efforts to ensure new international connections for all our citizens and to stimulate economic development.”
Wizz Air suspended its operations from Chisinau, citing security concerns of Moldova’s airspace in February 2023.

Cultural minister commemorates St Margaret of Scotland
Saint Margaret of Scotland, who was born in Hungary, creates a bond between people even today, the cultural minister said in Edinburgh on Tuesday evening.
Addressing a gala dinner held in honour of the 11th century queen of Scotland in the New Club, János Csák said that although Saint Margaret had died 930 years ago, “she still lives on and is here with us”.
She was a healer and peacemaker, not only in times of war, but in terms of religion as well, one who offered new solutions to old problems, the minister said.
“Saint Margaret of Scotland was a true Hungarian and a true Scot, and she will remain with us forever if we nurture her memory”, he said.
Margaret’s mother, Ágota, was the daughter of Saint Stephen, Hungary’s first king. Her father, Edward, was an English prince, who took refuge in Hungary. Margaret was born in Reka Castle, next to Mecseknádasd, in 1046 and studied in the Benedictine school of Pecsvarad. Later on the family returned to England but, after the Norman invasion, they had to flee again, to Scotland.
Margaret married King Malcolm III Canmore of Scotland and had merits in the establishment of the Scottish Catholic church and in changing the barbarian customs of the royal court. She was canonized in 1251 on account of her benefactions to the Church.
Hungary-UK data-protection accord to increase security
The data protection agreement between the Hungarian and British governments is expected to contribute towards bolstering the security of Hungarians, Csaba Dömötör, state secretary at the prime minister’s cabinet, said in a parliamentary debate on Tuesday.
Dömötör said the new agreement was another step towards reinforcing the country’s security “at a time of multiple crises and dangers” in connection with the wars in Ukraine and in the Middle East.
Dömötör said the Hungarian government had already signed similar agreements with 30 other countries concerning the exchange and protection of classified information.
The current agreement lays out rules applying to security cooperation, sharing, copying, translation and scrapping of classified documents, identifies the authorities involved, and establishes procedures to be applied when such documents are mishandled, the state secretary said.
Under the agreement, Hungary and the UK agree to ensure equally stringent protection in respect of information exchanged under the accord, whicn also further strengthens cooperation between the two countries in the areas of defence, law enforcement, as well as in the fight against organised crime and terrorism, Dömötör added.
Wizz Air increases number of flights to European cities, wins prestigious award
We wrote that the Hungarian low-cost airline opened two new routes to Egypt. From October, you can travel with Wizz to Cairo and Sharm el-Sheikh. However, the budget airline announced there would be other European destinations where they will increase flight frequency in the winter season.
According to Budflyer, a Hungarian travel news Facebook page, Wizz Air will expand the number of flights to Istanbul and Liverpool in December. That means there will be three flights weekly to Liverpool from Budapest Airport. The new flight will take off on Mondays. Moreover, they will also increase flight frequency on the Budapest-Istanbul line. Flights will double from December in that direction, and the planes will take off on Wednesdays and Sundays. Wizz Air is to add extra evening flights on those days to the morning ones.
It seems Istanbul and Liverpool are both popular among passengers travelling from Budapest. The former might be because of the developing Turkish-Hungarian economic relationship, while the latter’s cause is the growing number of Hungarian guest workers in the United Kingdom.
According to Világgazdaság, despite the ongoing Israeli-Palestine war in the Middle East, Wizz Air’s traffic grew in October. Passenger traffic increased by 19.4% last month. More than 5.4 million people chose to travel with the Hungarian low-cost airline in October. The flight utilisation reached 92.5%.
The good numbers came after Wizz Air had to suspend all its flights to Israel until 15 November because of the ongoing war in the Gaza district.
The airline announced that from next summer, it begins to expand its key markets in Italy, Romania, and Albania. They will increase flight frequency to Rome and Milan and place four new Airbus A321neo planes in the Italian capital and the North Italian city. HERE we wrote about Wizz’s new Egyptian flights.
Wizz Air won prestigious award again
Furthermore, Bucharest will get two new neo planes from June just like Tirana. The eighth modern jet will go to Gdansk in Poland from April.
From November, they will launch new flights to Glasgow from Budapest and Bucharest, serving guest workers from the region. Moreover, new flights will serve people travelling from Debrecen International Airport to Rome, Fiumicino from December.
The company’s carbon dioxide emission was 5% lower this October than in 2022 October. Furthermore, the value of their shares rose by 3.6% in London.
According to MTI, Wizz Air won the title of Global Environmental Sustainability Airline Group of the Year for the second time from the CAPA (Centre for Aviation) in Kuala Lumpur. CAPA awards those airlines that focus on reducing their carbon emission and pay attention to climate change in their business policies. Wizz Air operates one of the world’s youngest fleets and is replacing its old jets with Airbus A321neo planes, which are much more sustainable. Moreover, the airline already has a Sustainable Aircraft Fuel (SAF) strategy. CEO József Váradi said they would like to reduce their carbon emission by 25% by 2030. Wizz Air’s fleet currently includes 189 Airbus A320 and A321 planes.

Hungary opened exhibition on persecuted Christians in London
Tristan Azbej, the state secretary in charge of the Hungary Helps programme, attended the opening ceremony of an exhibition on persecuted Christians at the Hungarian House in London late on Monday.
“Currently Christianity is the most persecuted religion in the world,” Azbej said in his address at the event. Speaking to Hungarian public media, Azbej said: “The Western world, so proud of promoting human rights and its tolerance, does not begin to grasp the suffering, persecution, and curbing of rights of 300 million people.”
The Hungarian government “rejects that attitude, based on its values and humanitarian preferences,” he said. Since the start of the Hungary Helps programme in 2017, the scheme has reached out to over 1.5 million people in the Middle East, Asia, and Africa persecuted by terrorist or extremist groups because of their Christian faith, he added.
“This sends an important message of solidarity … a call for assistance to innocent people suffering persecution,” he said. “This message also reflects the values Hungary prefers at a time when Western Christian civilisation denies its own cultural roots, trying to undermine all that arises from Christian teachings,” he added.
Azbej said that while Christian communities in the Middle East were still in a difficult situation, the persecution of Christians was most serious in western parts of Africa, with Islamic State and other jihadist groups threatening communities, Azbej said. In Nigeria alone, some 3,000 Christians are killed each year, and Hungary Helps has decided to focus its activities on that region, he added.
Fidesz MP attends opening of London exhibition on persecuted Christians
Christianity is the world’s most widely practised, most influential and most persecuted religion, the head of parliament’s European affairs committee said at the opening of an exhibition on persecuted Christians at the Hungarian House in London on Monday. Speaking to public media at the venue, Judit Varga said the exhibition carried a strong message of support for Christianity.
Varga said the Hungary Helps humanitarian programme was a part of the migration policy Hungary represents in the European Union. She stressed Hungary’s stance regarding the need to manage the root causes of migration instead of importing problems and conflicts to Europe.

British national commits suicide due to botched Hungarian dental work
Clive Worthington endured prolonged suffering before ultimately surrendering to the battle against his dental pain. His family is devastated and wishes to draw attention to his specific case to honour his memory.
In 2008, Clive Worthington, a man from Essex, then 66, had travelled from the UK to Hungary for dental implants when complications arose concerning his dental health.
Read more about dental implants HERE.
A deteriorating situation
Mr Worthington found a dentist, who also practiced in the UK, and he fitted him with a new denture. However, it was inadequately done, resulting in chips and cracks. This led to infections and seven arduous years of various procedures as the dentist attempted to fix his denture. Throughout this period, the patient lost a substantial amount of weight and grappled with depression and anxiety. Due to the pain, he couldn’t properly eat or carry out his daily activities. He suffered from a misaligned jaw, persistent migraines and gum pain, all due to his botched denture.
“He was constantly going to various different dentists, asking if there is anything they can do to ease his sufferings,” his daughter recalled.
In 2015, his dentist told him that their medical expertise had reached its limit, and he should contact their insurers.
Denied compensation
The General Dental Council (GDC), a British dental regulatory authority, investigated his case for a year and a half and found his dentist guilty of misconduct.
Mr Worthington was granted substantial compensation of nearly £120,000 (equivalent to around HUF 50 million). This sum was intended to be provided by the dentist’s insurer, the Dental Deference Union. However, in the UK, there exists a system known as discretionary compensation, which essentially permits the insurer to accept or reject claims without offering an explanation.
And reject they did, leaving Clive Worthington and his family without any compensation or justification whatsoever.
This was the final straw for Mr Worthington, who took his own life in 2022. At the time of his passing, the family had yet to receive a penny from the promised compensation.
Gina Tilly, his daughter, commented:
“I simply do not want my father’s death to have been in vain because of this.”
“I will keep asking questions and I’ll keep fighting to try and get things changed.”
The Department of Health and Social Care in the UK is still reviewing the dentist’s case for clinical negligence.
The GDC stands by the Department of Health in their work and states their support and cooperation.
Following the resolution of the case, the GDC permitted the dentist to continue practising under constant supervision and mandated that any potential employer be forewarned about the previous professional misconduct.

Hungarian soldiers fighting in Israel had to seek refuge in a bunker
Sixteen Hungarian soldiers are currently stationed at the Israeli-Lebanese border. Most recently, they had to seek refuge in a bunker to escape Israeli airstrikes.
Hungarian soldiers abroad
Sixteen Hungarian soldiers are stationed at the Israeli border in southern Lebanon. According to the Irish Mirror, these soldiers, along with several of their fellow service members, were compelled to take shelter in bunkers.
Hungarian peacekeepers are deployed with the Lebanese armed organisation Hezbollah. They are accompanied by 338 Irish soldiers, as well as Polish and Maltese troops. An Irish army spokesman said that the peacekeepers entered the purpose-built bunker at 1 pm local time and emerged nearly four hours later. No injuries were reported.
A total of 16 Hungarian soldiers are participating in the UN Peacekeeping Mission in Lebanon, with 13 of them involved in the incident. A multi-ethnic unit appears to be operating near At Tiri, as well as at the base on the Israeli border. The majority of the soldiers are of Irish and Polish nationality. The first rotation of Hungarian soldiers took place in September.
Statement from the Ministry of Defence
The Hungarian Defence Forces have also confirmed the news. Currently, 16 Hungarian soldiers are serving in Lebanon, comprising the second contingent. A welcome-back ceremony for the first batch was held at the Maria Theresia barracks on 19 October.
Colonel Norbert Vadászi recalled that in July last year, the Honvéd Vezérérérkar (National Defence Headquarters) assigned the corps the task of preparing and forming the UN peacekeeping mission in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in six-month rotations until 2025.
“They have been assigned duties such as surveillance, patrolling, and collaborating with the Lebanese army. We maintain regular contact with them,” the Hungarian Defence Forces informed hvg.hu.
“We, Hungarian soldiers, will primarily carry out patrol duties and will be responsible for guarding and protecting the camp,” said Lieutenant Krecz. He added that they maintained continuous communication with the troops on the field, allowing them to make thorough preparations in advance.
Hungarian veteran soldier has been harassing Sharon Stone for years
According to a British daily, the Hollywood celebrity has been in fear for years because of a Hungarian army veteran. The man sent creepy letters to her claiming that he fathered the actress’s child and even went to her sister’s house. Daily Mail said Sharon Stone is living in fear.
The obsessive stalker, Sándor Boros, is a former Hungarian special forces veteran now living in London. He claims he fathered a son, Jason, with the Hollywood star. He said the boy was born in 1986 when Ms Stone was 28. What’s more, he claims their son was murdered, shortly after he was born.
Boros began stalking Sharon Stone’s family, and ever since, the family has been living in fear. The last email from Mr Boros came on 15 October, and the family’s private investigator said the Hungarian man was mentally unwell. He was caught on CCTV outside Sharon Stone’s sister, Kelly’s house in May. In his latest email, he called Ms Stone his angel and signed it “Your Sándor”.
In the article of Daily Mail, you may check out how Mr Boros looks.
The private detective called Sharon Stone’s Hungarian stalker
The private detective said Mr Boros planned out something. He is on a mission, so he stalks Sharon Stone relentlessly. That is supported by the fact that Mr Boros tried to speak with Stone’s mother, Dorothy, in Montana and visited even his brother, Michael.
Therefore, the detective called him on the phone. Boros confirmed the stalking during their talk. He replied he was desperate to find their son murdered in 1986. “I’m not joking, so I am really serious”, he added. He even highlighted that they had the baby when Sharon was his fiancé. However, he could not present a photo or a letter confirming his story to the detective.
He said he had post-traumatic stress syndrome because of the army but was not abusive.
Mr Barresi asked him never to contact Sharon or her family members again. He promised to pass all information to the family, and, provided they want to, they will get in touch with him.
Here is the tape of their phone call:
David Beckham arrives to Madame Tussauds Budapest
Madame Tussauds Budapest is joined by a new sensation! The wax figure of one of the world’s most famous athletes, fashion icons and media stars, David Beckham, is coming to Hungary. The 115-time England international midfielder, former player of Manchester United and Real Madrid, and Messi’s current “boss” at the Miami team, will stay in Budapest for a few months.
Beckham’s figure is coming to Budapest from Madame Tussauds Prague as a guest and is expected to stay for several weeks. The Hungarian Madame Tussauds has 51 permanent figures, but from time to time exclusive guests also come to Palazzo Dorottya. Just recently, the wax figure of the world’s fastest sprinter, Usain Bolt, spent a few months here.
During the production of the figure of the footballer, David Beckham personally met the staff of Madame Tussauds, who had the opportunity to measure the world star’s body from head to toe. Thousands of biological data were recorded, from bone size to body weight to the athlete’s facial features. The figure – like the other wax figures – was made in a studio near London with the involvement of visual artists, digital specialists and other experts.
David Beckham’s body is like a combination of a fashion magazine and a biography. The athlete’s skin is covered with more than 60 tattoos, all of which have a special meaning. His first tattoo was his son’s name, but his body features his favourite number, seven, which was his jersey number, Chinese, Hebrew and Hindi characters, and the number 99, which refers to his marriage.
The soccer player married Victoria Beckham in 1999 and they raised four children together. The star couple watched the Tom Cruise movie Jerry Maguire on their first date, and their relationship has been unbroken for almost a quarter of a century.
Beckham not only has a legendary relationship with the singer but also with the royal family. He is very close to Prince William and is even a confidant of Princess Catherine. He can’t miss the important events of the royal family, for example, he attended the wedding of Prince Harry as well. The athlete is a great admirer of Queen Elizabeth II, he stood in line for 13 hours to pay tribute to her in front of the monarch’s coffin. As a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF, Beckham has been fighting for the acknowledgement of children’s rights for years.
The 115-time England international midfielder will be among friends in the Madame Tussauds Budapest production. Another popular figure of the exhibition, Lionel Messi, is currently playing for Beckham’s team in Miami, and Jennifer Lopez and Beyonce also shot a joint commercial with the star.
Guests can meet the style icon athlete in a suit and tie in the interactive cafe part of the production. He is waiting for visitors standing on a red carpet, surrounded by photographers, so every fan can feel like a real star while standing next to him.
Take That to comes to Hungary for a concert
For the first time in its 30-year history, Take That is set to perform a concert in Hungary. One of Britain’s most popular boy bands, Take That, will perform in Hungary, featuring the current trio lineup of Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen.
Take That originated in Manchester in 1989, with the original lineup including Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Robbie Williams. Their debut album, “Take That & Party,” was released in 1992 and achieved the second position in the UK album sales charts, even attaining double platinum status.
The album went on to become the UK’s most successful. A little over a year later, they followed it up with “Everything Changes,” which reached the number one spot in the UK, garnering them international recognition and selling over 3 million copies worldwide.
In 1995, they released “Nobody Else,” which included hits such as “Back For Good,” “Sure,” and “Never Forget,” topping the charts in 11 countries. In the same year, Robbie Williams left the group, and at the height of their success, in February 1996, Take That announced their split. A decade later, the four-piece Take That returned to the stage in 2006.
In 2010, a song co-written by Barlow and Robbie Williams was released, marking a special moment as they hadn’t worked together since 1995. Shortly after, Williams announced his return to the group, reuniting with the original lineup to record “Progress,” which became the first album of the century to top the charts on its first day of release.
They also had the honour of performing at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Summer Olympics. Two years later, Robbie Williams and Jason Orange departed from the band, leaving Take That as a trio.
After a six-year hiatus, Take That is gearing up to release a new album in November, followed by a UK and European tour titled “This Life – Under The Stars.”
Tickets go on sale at 10 am on 19 October.

British woman grew lots of marijuana in Hungary ‘for her own consumption’
The District Prosecution Office of Kaposvár has charged a British woman in her fifties with possession of a significant amount of marijuana. She was growing large quantities of the illegal plant in her garden.
Telex writes that according to the indictment, the British woman settled in a village near Kaposvár in the mid-2010s. Her house also had a large garden area. Over time, the accused acquired an unspecified number of cannabis seeds with high level of active drug ingredients, which she planted in her backyard and cultivated for her consumption.
Permaculture with a twist
The information about the cultivation reached the police in Kaposvár in September 2022. The police went to the woman’s house, where they found ornamental plants, medicinal plants, herbs, and plants of the original native flora. She was following a set of principles in her garden in accordance with the permaculture approach. The investigators discovered more than 100 hemp hybrid plants in various stages of development among the plants. These, according to the findings on the spot, were cultivated in a continuous, rotational pattern.
The outcome
Investigators seized a significant quantity of the marijuana plants, which were considered drugs, at the scene. The prosecutor’s office submitted an indictment to the District Court of Kaposvár, in which it proposed that the woman should be sentenced to prison and banned from public office.
Today, drug possession is one of the most common offences. Hungarian law makes no distinction between light and hard drugs. However, the level of the penalty depends on the amount of drugs found. In the case of growing marijuana, 5 plants of hemp are considered a small quantity. Above this amount, the court will carefully examine whether the intention of selling the drug can be inferred.
The following photos were taken by the policemen during the search in the accused’s garden:
