The biggest problem of the most popular Hungarian festival has been solved
Great news for the Budapest Sziget Festival. The biggest problem at one of Europe’s most popular festivals has been solved. Organisers are tackling dust.
In an Instagram post, Sziget organisers have announced that fans can breathe a sigh of relief – they’re tackling the dust. They also illustrate the difference with a spectacular video of a helicopter landing.
The technology used will extract moisture from the air and return it to the soil, significantly reducing the amount of sand and dust throughout the festival area, index.hu reports.
In 2022, festival-goers experienced more drought than usual. The organisers are preparing not only a dust removal process but also a soil rejuvenation treatment for Hajógyári Island.
