The coolest Hungarian offices of 2017

Femina.hu reports that the competition about choosing the most awesome Hungarian company offices organised by the non-profit organisation, Iroda.hu, has come to its end which also means that the names of the winners of 2017 were announced to the public. This year, 172 offices were nominated for the title, a record number compared to the previous year. Here are the most impressive Hungarian offices where nobody would complain about the working circumstances. Check out the amazing photos!

At the award ceremony organised at Várkert Bazár on 9 February, the best companies were awarded in 18 categories. In several cases, the prize-winner offices were awarded because they creatively used the space given, for example installed an office in an establishment once functioning as a car barn or as a steam mill. The competition was composed of 3 parts: after the public and the business voting, a professional jury evaluated the participant offices. However, in the framework of the gala, the best representatives of the real estate profession and the most outstanding public place were also remunerated.

Zoltán Kalmár, fonder of the competition and director of Iroda.hu, reports that “8 years ago, the competition of the Office of the Year was only an interior design contest, but today, enterprises regard it as one of the most important tools of branding.”

It is the world of business

The branding of companies and thus the design of personalised office spaces are prominent for enterprises. In fact, these are what can help attract employees and motivate them to stay which is particularly important when many enterprises suffer from labour shortage. Zoltán Kalmár also emphasizes the obvious fact that most modern offices are employee-centered places where comfort and technology are in the focus.

The coolest office spaces also reflect the office culture where it is not a challenge if an employee wants to take the kids or the pets to the workplace.

These offices are all ready for these cases, so employees can feel comfortable at work which influences their efficiency.

Insight into the future

Concerning the office trends, the director of Iroda.hu also points out that the above-mentioned improvements are more dominant in Budapest, but more and more bigger towns try to keep up with them and set an example for foreign countries, too. This increase is also shown by the fact that more towns outside Budapest got into the final than in the previous years.
