The Hungarian who convinced the best-known professor of persuasion
When it comes to persuasion, the biggest scientist in the world is Dr. Robert Cialdini. The author of the bestseller book called Influence has been researching the secrets of persuasion for decades now. Needless to say, it is a huge recognition if he acknowledges a scientific work.
However a Hungarian university lecturer and researcher, Dr. László Újszászi Bogár managed to achieve this.
But what has László done that he could get the attention and – more importantly – the recognition of the godfather of persuasion?
Dr. László Újszászi Bogár (Ph.D), a young lecturer of the Budapest Corvinus University has conducted several researches about consumer behaviour, decision making and influence.

Based on his scientific work he developed a unique model for persuasion that business people – like salesmen – can easily put in practice. The so-called ’BDA persuasion model’ is serving not only scientific purposes, but it also works very well in business situations – not to mention that it is understandable and easy-to-use for everyone.
László not only teaches his method between the walls of the University. Many multinational companies ask him to help making sales people’s work more effective.
His business trainings are requested by companies like Caterpillar, DuPont, IBM, Mapei, Konica Minolta and Michelin – just to mention a few.
László’s BDA persuasion model is acknowledged by other researchers too. First, UAE Dubai University became aware of his method and now it is compulsory literature at the University.
A recent recognition was given László by Dr. Robert Cialdini.
The father of persuasion said: „I enjoyed reading the article you published in the UAE Business Magazine. I thought the study it described was very well conducted scientifically and very clearly presented. However, I will keep the article in my scientific archives, so that I can cite it in one of my academic publications when a suitable opportunity arises.”
The career of the young researcher looks promising – besides the Hungarian ones, he is expanding to help companies in other countries as well.
