Some attractions will not be able to operate this year, and the Advent lights will be reduced in several cities because of the energy crisis. However, luckily, we will not have to miss the famous Advent tram in Miskolc!
From 27 November 2022, the appealing Advent tram will run again between Tisza station and Felső-Majláth terminus in Miskolc, karacsonyszeretlek.hu reports. You can get on the tram if you have a valid ticket, pass or travel document. Tickets can be purchased with cash or credit card from the ticket inspector.
The most beautiful Advent tram in Europe
“Despite the energy crisis, Miskolc will still have an Advent tram. We hope to be proud of it again this year, and we hope that the legendary Miskolc tram will be the most beautiful in Europe this year” – announced Pál Veres, the mayor of Miskolc, on his social media page.
The Christmas vehicle has been voted the most beautiful Advent tram in Europe five times in a competition organised by the Czech portal MHD86. In view of the current state of emergency, the Advent tram will be able to transport 120 people at a time. When the number of passengers on the train reaches 120, a “vehicle full” sign will be displayed behind the windscreen of the tram, 24.hu writes.
