The longest slide in the world could be built in Hungary

The longest slide in the world could be built in Eplény, Hungary. According to initial news, it will be completed by the summer of this year, but the contractor has stated that this year’s handover is not a realistic expectation.
Portfolio.hu reports that a 1,500-metre-long slide is being built in Eplény, Hungary. So far, Eplény has been most famous for its ski resort. However, thanks to the slide, it would attract tourists to the town not only in winter but all year round.
The 1.5-km-long slide will be the longest slide in the world.
The slide is designed for dry-wet operation. This means that we would be sitting in a special boat sliding down the water slide so that we stay dry. The attraction will be available for all ages.
However, we have to wait for the handover of the slide. Contractor Enefi said that the project is currently in the preparation phase. For the time being, the technical, financial, and regulatory conditions are being worked out. If these are favourable, construction can begin. As a result, it is unrealistic to expect the record-long slide to be completed in 2021.
The Hungarian spa season is not meeting expectations.
