These are the best Hungarian cities to live in
The best places to live in Budapest are found in the 1st and 5th districts, while in the countryside Eger and Veszprém took the lead, according to the ranking of Otthon Centrum, in which cities with a population of more than 20,000 were examined.
According to the real estate agency, cities were assessed for quality of life, GP care, education level of the population, employment and commuting.
24.hu writes that analysts found that there is no significant shift from last year’s list, with the capital’s districts being in the top nine. The list is still lead by districts I and V, followed by other districts of downtown Pest (VI., VII., IX., XIII.), and from the Buda side by II., XI. and XII. districta.
Among the rural settlements, Veszprém and Eger top the list, which can be mainly explained by the fact that the people living there get to their workplaces the fastest.
This is followed by Székesfehérvár and Pécs, then Szeged, Debrecen and Győr.
The research also covered the settlements of the agglomeration, where the indicators of Budaörs and Szentendre are the best. The two settlements stood out from the other cities and districts in terms of the number of relocations, which shows that the settlements close to the capital of Pest County have achieved the highest resettlement gains in recent years.
Real estate prices are seriously affected by quality of life indicators, as the capital’s I, II, V, and XII districts are not only excellent in terms of living standards, but they are also the most expensive districts.
