Budapest hotelโs breakfast ranks among the best in the world!
“Have breakfast like a king” – goes the well-known saying which has now become the main focus of a freshly published international ranking. The British Mornings.co.uk has compiled the world’s best hotel breakfasts from 113 countries, based on Tripadvisor reviews. The good news is that a Budapest hotel has been also listed among the best ones. Which one would you guess it is?
Having a delicious hotel breakfast can make a big difference in the overall guest experience. This inspired the British portal Mornings.co.ukย to gather the best hotel breakfasts in the world. The final ranking was based on Tripadvisor guest reviews written in 113 countries. The site counted the mentions of โbest breakfast,โ โgreat breakfast,โ and โexcellent breakfastโ for every hotel in every capital city and US state on Tripadvisor in order to map the best services.
The first place in the ranking is occupied by the exclusive Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London.
The excellent breakfast service of the hotel received more than 5,000 positive reviews on Tripadvisor. In addition, two other London hotels also made it to the top 10. The Premier Inn London County in Waterloo was ranked sixth place, while the Tower Hotel, a four-star establishment near Tower Bridge made it to number eight. The second place was taken by the four-star Hotel Artemide in Rome, followed by the Malaysian Traders Hotel in the third place.
Hungary can also be proud of a Budapest hotel that has been listed among the top10. Namely,
Hotel Palazzo Zichy is ranked seventh in the international ranking.
Situated in the heart of Budapest’s historic Palace district, the hotel’s glass-roofed breakfast room offers a spectacular view and an American-style buffet breakfast to the visitors.
At the bar of the lobby, experienced baristas create a variety of ingenious cocktails โ reports the Hungarian news portal Roadster. These are just some of the reasons why the hotel is well worth a visit if you come to Budapest.

More of a survey than an ‘International Ranking’. Don’t exaggerate. Further, it is deeply flawed. The UK hotels are generally scored on what is known as ‘The Full English’ breakfast, a very different breakfast from ‘The Continental’ but vaguely similar to the ‘America but with less sweet sugary things. The type usually served in Hungarian hotels is usually of the ‘Continental’ style. The opinions of the notoriously fickle TripAdvisor commentators and only 113 of them at that does not make this a serious exercise in establishing the merits or otherwise of hotel breakfasts. Yet again, the DNH is trying to pretend that a grain of sugar is the whole cake. Ridiculous.
