This is what the Hungarian immunity certificate will contain – Details
The Hungarian government submitted a few information about their planned immunity certificate. Here you can find some news about what it will contain, who could and how they could acquire it and also about the card’s producer.
In our previous article on Sunday, we have reported Portfolio’s information about the immunity certificate. If you would like to know more, you can read it HERE, but we will summarise the most important things for you in this article.
Only those could get an immunity certificate who have been vaccinated or who have safely recovered from the coronavirus.
Due to the changes recently, people who have only received their first vaccination can also have their immunity certificate. If someone has recovered from the infection, they can apply for a certificate as well. They need to register and be taken a blood sample from specified laboratories. If their blood contains the antigen for the virus, they can acquire a certificate, but the new measure suggests that in this case, the certification in only temporary.
Portfolio reports that the Hungarian government will introduce the so-called “two-app” digital certificate and a physical plastic card, similar to an ID card. The newspaper reported that the electronic version would soon be activated. Portfolio says that the Hungarian system will utilise the EESZT (Elektronikus Egészségügyi Szolgáltatási Tér) or Electronic Health Cooperation Service Space in English. This means that
when you receive your vaccine at a vaccination point, the data introduced into the electronic system will automatically create a certificate that will be available online or by a plastic card.
Portfolio says that the plastic card would include:
- The name of the person
- The passport number of the person (if they have)
- The ID number of the person and the document number of the ID (if they have)
- The document number of the immunity certificate itself
- Date of vaccination and type of vaccine (if vaccinated)
- In case of having recovered from the infection, the date of validity of the card
- A data-code from the above data readable by optical reading devices
- The following texts: “The card is only valid with the person’s ID card or passport.”, “Not transferable.” and “The rights related to the card can be checked on the koronavirus.gov.hu website.”.
The Hungarian Government still has not decided exactly what benefits the immunity certificate will provide. Still, they have hinted that those who have it could enjoy more relaxed coronavirus measures or even entirely be free from them, but this is not yet official.
ANY Security Printing Company Group will manufacture the card as per a contract terminating on March 1, 2023. Card producing is the company’s second-largest grossing activities, reports Portfolio.

Good article, I’m glad to see some information about this important topic in English.
“If someone has recovered from the infection, they can apply for a certificate as well. They need to register and be taken a blood sample from specified laboratories.” — is there any more information about where to register and which labs, to get an immunity passport??
Thanks!
As far as I know, if you are issued tests by your GP, you can indicate or tell them that you would like to get a certificate, it is free in this case, but you could also go to private laboratories that administer PCR tests and ask for the certificate there. I did not have personal experience, so this is what I could gather from the Hungarian articles.
Hope it helps.
I will check with my haziorvos, thank you!!
The Hungarian government has publicized some aspects related to the information about their planned immunity certificate but not made clear what punishments there will be for any forgeries or to medical practitioners who do not keep good records of those for which they make arrangements. That so many circumstances allow people to get a certificate is an invitation for fraud.
And since there will be such personal information given to the authorized producer of the paper versions as well as the permanent plastic ones, there needs to be very specific laws to protect such information to prevent identity theft. That a person may get a document is one thing. That it is completely secure is another. People should look into this aspect of the process. It is a world where too many people get wealthy not by working & living frugally but by running scams. Victimizing others.
