The program is organised every year by the embassies of European Union member states in the US capital with the aim to introduce their countries to American visitors.
The event at the embassy on Saturday offered cultural programmes and a gastronomy show as well as film screenings and arts and crafts workshops for children.
Charge d’affaires Pál Péter Schmitt said that a desk had been set up at the event for providing information to Hungarian citizens living in the United States on the voting procedure at the June EP elections.
Several organisations of the Hungarian diaspora presented themselves at the event, including the Kossuth Foundation and the Hungarian American Coalition.
