Toilet tickets coming to Westend – here are the details
As we have already reported, the recent installation of entrance gates to the restrooms at Budapest’s most popular shopping mall, Westend, has sparked a lot of attention in recent days. Now, the verdict is in, and indeed, the Westend toilet ticket is on its way.
The mall operators shared specifics with 444, revealing that from 1st April, access to the restrooms will come with a fee of 200 HUF (equivalent to approximately EUR 0.5). The reason behind this decision, as explained by the company, is to enhance customer experience and ensure greater comfort.
So if you wish to use the lavatory, wash your hands or change nappies, you have to pay the required 200 HUF at the vending machine, which, by the way, accepts card as well. Once it’s settled, you will receive a toilet ticket, which you can use to go to the turnstile and finally enter the restroom.
According to the company, this change will only impact toilets operated by Westend, so lavatories in hotels, cinemas or other business premises will not be affected.
