Day 1: London to Munich

Day 1 of the European continent journey starts in London. You have to take the Eurostar to Brussels Midi and pick up the ICE service to Frankfurt and transit to the train for Munich Hauptbahnhof (main station). You will arrive late in the evening in Munich, where you will have an overnight stop.

Day 2: Munich to Budapest

According to the schedule, you will have a couple of hours to explore the centre of Munich. You can visit the famous landmarks, stroll around downtown or grab a bite before continuing your journey to Budapest. In the late morning, you have to return to the station to hop on the direct train to Budapest. Your journey will take you through Chiemsee (known as the Bavarian Sea) and Salzburg. During the scenic ride, you can admire the breathtaking mountains through the window of your carriage. Once you’ve reached Budapest, you can find a hotel close to the train station where you can spend the night or check out the city’s buzzing nightlife.

Day 3: Budapest

On day 3, you will have plenty of time to discover the stunning Hungarian capital. You should not miss paying a visit to the main sigths such as the Castle District, the Vajdahunyad Castle, the City Park or the Chain Bridge. In addition, you might want to join a guided tour of the Parliament or take a walk along the picturesque River Danube.

Fisherman’s Bastion

Fisherman’s Bastion is an iconic Neo-Romanesque building in the Castle District. Its name refers to the fact that in the Middle Ages, this part of the castle wall was protected by the fishermen’s guild. This place offers a wonderful view of the city and also serves as a perfect photo spot.

Heroes’ Square

Budapest’s most illustrious square was completed for the nation’s 1896 millennium celebration. The 14 statues of the semicircular monument commemorate emblematic personalities of Hungarian history.
