Travelling abroad under the shadow of the epidemic’s second wave
As many people decide not to have a vacation or just travel in their countries, almost every airline tries to convince people with incredibly cheap flight tickets. Is it worth the risk as the second wave of the coronavirus is getting closer and closer?Â
Forbes collected some tips and pieces of advice for those who are considering travelling by plane this summer. The most famous summer holiday locations started a serious competition amongst one another to draw in the few people who take the risk of travelling. Many countries rank other states by the situation of the coronavirus and require negative tests or quarantine. But here is the twist.
Due to the favourable epidemic situation in Hungary, Hungarian citizens are allowed to travel almost everywhere without a test or quarantine.
The safest locations are those states where the number of infections is low and the borders are closed towards those countries where the epidemic is still strong. Of course, Hungarians are allowed to travel to Spain and Italy as well but need to consider it carefully. The biggest drawback of a holiday abroad is that we can get infected or someone else in our community can. Either way, we need to face quarantine, and our summer is ruined. It is advisable to book single apartments and not hotels.
Will restrictions come back in Hungary? It is not unlikely as many nearby countries reported an increased number of new infections, and Hungary could be removed from the list of the safest countries once someone brings the coronavirus back again as the borders are open for now.
All European states require people to wear face masks at indoor places and to take care of their hygiene. Travelling by aeroplane requires more time than before as all the passengers are registered before entering another country. Even taking up handbags on board is a matter of arguments between airlines as they might contain the virus.Â
If someone decides to travel abroad, it should be done as soon as possible while the countries do not require quarantine. Pay careful attention and take care.Â
