Truck killed Hungarian truck driver in Calais
Based on the information of HVG.hu, a truck killed a Hungarian truck driver when it ran over him. His collage, who was an eye-witness of the accident, got a heart-attack.
HVG.hu informs that the accident happened in Calais when the two men were changing tires. Both the trailer and the truck were on the same slope when the tragedy happened. The driver might have failed to set the parking brake.
The truck started to go before the two men managed to connect the truck with the trailer. The driver wanted to hop on the vehicle to stop it, but he fell off, and the tires ran over him. An eye witness, a colleague, sitting in another truck got a heart-attack and fell off the vehicle. He is in hospital now.
The local hospital has not commented on the tragedy, but both the hospital and the police confirmed the death of the driver, HVG.hu notes.
According to HVG.hu, the two drivers are employed by Waberer’s. The company has not made any statement. They expressed their deepest condolences towards the driver’s family.
