Two Hungarian hotels win prestigious Sleepfriendly award 2024
Matild Palace Luxury Collection Hotel Budapest and Hotel Vinifera Wine&Spa Balatonfüred received the prestigious Sleepfriendly award in Hungary because of the exemplary design of their sleeping environment and the commitment of their management to provide all their guests with a good night’s sleep.
According to turizmus.com, the Sleepfriendly awards were presented to the hotels at a prestigious international conference focusing on sleeping and organised by the Hungarian Sleep Association of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
Annually, only two hotels can get the Sleepfriendly award in Hungary: one in the capital and one in the country.
The Sleepfriendly award
The award is a recognition for the work a hotel does to help their guests have a good night’s sleep. During the evaluation process, doctors specialised in sleeping, health and lifestyle experts and other professionals evaluate the hotels.
They evaluated multiple indicators, from the quality of the beds to the complaint handling process.
For example, the Matild Palace Budapest uses exclusively the Italian Frette’s premium textile products. Selim Ölmez, the hotel’s director, said even Sleeping Beauty would have chosen their beds for her 100-year-long sleep.
