A Polish man wrote HELP with his blood on a Hungarian train — VIDEO
In Hungary, a man of Polish nationality tried to stop a passenger train in Mosonmagyaróvár. The man stood on the tracks and jumped away from the train, which hit the emergency brakes. The man wrote HELP with his own blood on the windscreen of the locomotive.
The man tried to board the train but the doors would not open for some reason. The Polish man then hurled stones at the train’s windows. Finally, he wrote HELP with his own blood on the windscreen of the locomotive.
This incident happened in May 2022, and the prosecutor’s office has now filed charges against the man, telex.hu reports. According to the indictment, the 35-year-old man stood between the pair of rails between Hegyeshalom and Győr. The driver hit the emergency brakes at a speed of 140 km/h. The man jumped away from the oncoming train at the last second.
Unable to get on the train, the man started throwing stones at the train’s windows. 8 windows and 1 door window were smashed while the passengers inside tried to escape from the stones that were hurled at them. The incident ended up causing HUF 3.4 million (EUR 7,854) in damage to the train.
In addition to the driver, there were 25-30 passengers and the conductor on board. After the damaging act, the man cut both wrists and wrote “HELP” in his own blood on the windscreen of the locomotive.
The man was found to be under the influence of illicit substances and he was placed in custody. The Polish citizen has been charged with criminal offences against traffic safety and criminal damage. He will face up to four and a half years of imprisonment.
