Sting and Shaggy to conquer Heroes’ Square in a free concert

Sting and Shaggy will play a free gig at Heroes’ Square on 24th November, announced Szerencsejáték Ltd. The concert is to celebrate the 30th birthday of the Hungarian Lottery No. 6.

Although the show was advertised neither on the band’s website nor on their Facebook page, it appeared in the advertisements of the morning news. Later, the event was published on the Facebook page and website of the company as well, reports Index.

Sting and Shaggy are currently on tour with their new album 44/876 and will play near this area in November – for instance, in Poland and the Czech Republic. Sting wrote such world-famous hits like Englishman in New York or Every Breath You Take (as the member of The Police) while Shaggy may be the most known for It Wasn’t Me and Mr Boombastic. They will play both their classics and their new songs during these concerts.

“Szerencsejáték Ltd. invites you and your whole family to a free super concert to celebrate the 30th birthday of Lottery No. 6. The British star, Sting, and the Jamaican-American singer, Shaggy, will play a show together to entertain the crowd.”

The opening act will be by the Hungarian rap band, Punnany Massif. The Pécs-based team wrote the anthem of the 2013 Sziget Festival.

“Please expect roadblocks in the area; we suggest coming to the concert on foot.”

– says Szerencsejáték Ltd. on their website.
