Ukraine reports 833 new COVID-19 cases, total over 38,000
Ukraine Tuesday reported 833 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 38,074, with 1,035 deaths, the country’s health ministry said.
As of Tuesday, 16,956 patients have recovered, and 2,790 children and 6,138 health workers have been diagnosed with COVID-19 since the beginning of the epidemic, the ministry said.
Overall, 10,387 patients have been hospitalized in Ukraine since the beginning of the outbreak, while 364 were put on ventilators.
A total of 425 servicemen tested positive for the virus in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while 266 have recovered and five have died, according to the press service of Ukraine’s Medical Forces Command.
The number of COVID-19 cases has been growing in Ukraine recently due to non-compliance with quarantine restrictions, according to officials.
