V4 development banks discuss cooperation opportunities
The development banks of the Visegrad Group (V4) countries discussed opportunities for cooperation in energy, transport development and their use of European Union funds in Budapest, the state-owned Hungarian Development Bank (MFB) said on Thursday.
Leading experts of the development banks of Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovakia were joined by representatives of Croatia and Slovenia’s development banks as well as the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the national development ministry, MFB said in a statement.
Mobile payment company Nemzeti Mobilfizetési, from MFB’s delegation, presented its V4 Smart Platform initiative that was first proposed in Hungary’s programme for its V4 presidency.
The initiative aims to introduce joint interconnected electronic solutions across the V4 member states.
Hungary took over the rotating presidency of the V4 on July 1.
