The world’s tallest building

The Burj Khalifa, located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is the world’s tallest building, standing at an impressive height of 829.8 meters (2,722 feet) with a roof height of 828 meters (2,717 feet) including a 242.6-meter spire. The building was initially known as Burj Dubai but was renamed Burj Khalifa in honour of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the former president of the United Arab Emirates. The building has 163 floors.

The exterior is clad in aluminium and stainless steel panels, along with over 28,000 hand-cut glass panels, providing aesthetic appeal and protection against extreme desert conditions. Construction began in January 2004 and was completed in October 2009.
