VIDEO: Johnny Depp walking around in Budapest with a guitar case

It is a tradition of the International Film Festival Karlovy Vary (KVIFF) that they make some short movies with the actors, actresses, and directors, who received the festival’s Grand Prix – Crystal Globe. Johnny Depp does not have such an award, but he popularised the festival in a video shared yesterday. Since he was busy, the shooting took place in Budapest.

According to telex.hu, Johnny Depp received a warm welcome at the 2021 festival, so he became committed to the event. That is why he made a festival trailer to popularise it. However, since he had a tight schedule, the shooting was in Budapest’s downtown, in front of the Szabadság Bridge and the prestigious Gellért Hotel.

First, Depp walked around in front of the bridge with a guitar case, then entered the hotel a little messed up. In the lobby, a woman interviews him. In the last moments, he takes out the crystal globe from his guitar case with his name on it.

The director of the sketch was Ivan Zachariáš. He told Hollywoodreporter that it was Depp’s idea to improvise, and he accepted that. The shooting took 2.5 hours, but Depp was so happy he did not want to go. He continued to chat with the staff.
