VIDEO, PHOTOS: Ronaldinho has arrived to Budapest!
The legendary Brazilian football player’s plane landed just hours earlier at Budapest’s Ferenc Liszt International Airport. He went to the downtown of the Hungarian capital, but before that, he greeted his Hungarians fans in Hungarian. Below, you may check out some photos and the video and find out why the Brazilian star is visiting Hungary. Furthermore, we will tell you where you can meet him tomorrow.
According to hvg.hu, Ronaldinho is in Hungary again. The former star of AC Milan, PSG and Barcelona and world champion of 2002 came because of the Budapest event of the Teqball Tour. He greeted the Hungarians in Hungarian, saying “Sziasztok, magyarok” (Hello, Hungarians) on a video shared by the Hungarian Teqball Association.
As we reported before, Teqball, founded by György Gattyán, Viktor Huszár and Gábor Borsányi, was officially introduced by Ronaldinho on 18 October 2016 in Budapest, followed by the first Teqball World Championship a year later in 2017, also in Budapest.
The Champions League winner Brazilian came to Budapest at the invitation of the FITEQ (International Teqball Federation/Nemzetközi Teqball Szövetség) to participate in the European Teqball Tour organised in Budapest between 29 September and 2 October. Ronaldinho is the ambassador of the new sport aspiring to become part of the Olympic Games soon.
After arriving in Budapest, Ronaldinho posted a video showing that his accommodation is close to the Danube on the Buda side of the capital. The Brazilian star probably learned about the Hungarian parliament and some other iconic buildings of Budapest because somebody is gesturing toward those on the recording.

Ronaldinho will be the guest star of tomorrow’s final, playing a gala match in Budapest’s newly inaugurated Riz Levente Sports Hall. There, you may be able to meet him in person.
The tournament brought together players from 29 countries and several continents. The total number of registered players is more than 150. The final will be broadcast live on Sport TV and available to watch later on Eurosport. The total prize money for the event is USD 30,000.
